Mission Trips

We are excited to offer the following mission opportunities in Zambia in 2017! The teams’ primary mission will be to share the good news of Jesus Christ while providing for the physical needs of our Zambian brothers and sisters. We would love for you to join us on this mission to offer love and care to the Zambians.

June 2018
Ndola, Zambia (2 weeks)

  • Men’s Mentoring

This team of men will develop and implement a mentoring process to provide Godly male influence for the boys of Living Hope.  The men on this team will spend concentrated time encouraging, training and enabling a select group of Zambian men who will in turn invest in the lives of boys of Living Hope.  These men will be left with the tools (spiritual and practical) and a plan to speak into the boys’ lives.  The Mentoring Team will also support the Construction Team and must be ready to serve in any way necessary.

  • Construction

Working alongside our Zambian brothers and sisters to accomplish a pre-selected assignment based on the skills of the volunteers and the current needs of the Living Hope campus building schedule. Skilled and unskilled workers are both welcome. Projects might include cement work, electrical, plumbing, roofing and painting. The only requirements are a willingness to work and a servant’s heart. Some tools will be required; others will be provided on-site.

  • Housemother Training

The housemothers are the primary caregivers to the children of Living Hope. Our housemothers are selected for their attributes of love and care for children. However, they lack formal education in techniques of discipline and dealing with abandonment issues that all of our children have experienced. Therefore, providing training is essential to the relationship between the children and their caregivers. The ideal volunteer will be a mother or grandmother who is willing to be shepherded through training by a licensed counselor skilled in these techniques. Licensed counselors are also welcome on the trip.

  • Performing Arts Camp

A two week trip focused on enhancing the Living Hope children’s appreciation of the arts while building their self-esteem through public expression. The trip will culminate with performances and/or exhibitions that will provide an avenue for outreach to the greater Ndola community thus leading to a growth in awareness of the mission of Living Hope in the community.
