LHI COFFEE IS HERE!
Our first crop of LHI Zambian coffee has arrived and is ready for delivery to your church, home or office. Our coffee is sold with two purposes in mind: to offer you a great cup of coffee and to provide for the orphan children of LHI. This is truly “coffee with a cause”. It started by LHI acquiring 3,200 of the best Arabica seedlings available in Zambia and planting our first crop. We then harvested our first crop and used the best coffee cherries to start our next group of seedlings. This year is our fourth planting. When finished in three more years we will have 22,400 plants producing 40,000 lbs. annually. The coffee once picked, fermented, pulped, dried and graded is then shipped to Detroit, Michigan where our roasting partner, The Great Lake Coffee Roasting Company, adds the final touches in order to deliver to you arguably the world’s best coffee. Thanks for being a customer, donor and coffee lover. To God be the glory.
IT’S VERY EASY TO FORGET THAT COFFEE IS A FRUIT.
We treat our coffee like fresh produce because it is! Our coffee has unique flavors that are derived from the soil, climate and rainfall of Zambia, a sub-tropic region of Africa. We maintain our Arabica coffee as green bean until we receive your order.
THEN, WE ROAST,
often mere hours before we ship it to your church, home or office. What you end up with is a coffee that tastes different than any you’ve had before. So remember, buy fresh, buy often and enjoy a better cup of coffee.
